THE BIG TURTLE

The Big Turtle draws its inspiration from “Sheltowee,” the name given to frontiersman Daniel Boone by Shawnee Chief Blackfish when Boone was adopted into the tribe in 1778. Translated as “Big Turtle,” the name symbolizes strength, endurance, and Boone’s broad shoulders. It later inspired the Sheltowee Trace National Recreation Trail, which winds through Kentucky and beyond—connecting history, landscape, and legacy.

Handmade in Ashland, Kentucky by Judith Knife Company, the Big Turtle is built to be used, trusted, and carried for a lifetime. Every knife includes FREE lifetime resharpening, ensuring peak performance for years to come.
